We live in our cars. We eat, drink and sleep in our cars. And occasionally, we spill in our cars. Eliminate stale food odors by following these simple steps.
Step 1 - Vacuum the interior thoroughly. If you have spots or stains, use an enzyme cleaner according to directions to clean the affected area(s).
Step 2- Shampoo the car's interior, including carpets, upholstery, headliner, door panels, seat belts and floor mats with an odor eliminating shampoo, available at auto parts or hardware stores. Don't forget to shampoo under the seats! Clean leather upholstery with a commercial leather cleaner/deodorizer available at your local auto parts store, dealership or home improvement store or use our homemade leather cleaner/conditioner. The recipe for the cleaner can be found on our website at www.refreshyourcar.com/backroads. Let the interior air dry completely, before moving on to the next step.
Step 3 - Clean the inside of your windshield and all the windows with a commercial glass cleaner or our homemade glass cleaner. The glass cleaner recipe can be found on our website at www.refreshyourcar.com/backroads. We recommend cleaning all inside glass at least twice
Step 4 - Place a Refresh your Car scented gel underneath the seats and a Refresh your Car scented oil diffuser in your car air vents to maintain a clean fresh scent.
If all else fails, take the car to a professional detailer for an interior cleaning.
Notes:
Before applying cleaner or treatment to your car's interior, try applying a small amount in a hidden area first for color fastness.
